If you have a PSU that has a fan on the bottom can you simply just turn it upside down and mount it that way in this case?

If you have to buy one...why not get say an ocz silencer 750W, they dont have fan on bottom..

perfect for 1200, 900, and other bottom mounts..

Thanks but I already have a Corsair 750 . Just wanted to be sure it would work.

Yeah, so it does have a fan on the bottom.

The silencer doesnt have one on the bottom so its nice for bottom mount cases like the 1200

Take a look at my crude diagram...

Using case fan on front...pulling in cool air...and direct it through psu..and the psu fan expels out the back...

no hot air going down and hittin a wall.....and no hot air being dumped up into your case...

:)

Yeah, an exhaust fan on top gets rid of the heat better than a rear fan... because heat rises obviously. People might see it as a downside to release hot air back up into the case, but the rear and top exhaust fans take care of that quickly.

Did you read the rest? Obviously its not a good thing, but it is a very efficient way to relieve heat from the PSU. An exhaust fan on top of the PSU puts the air out through the top, where it is quickly put out of the case by the rear and top case exhaust fans.

A vent in the front of the PSU using a front fan doesn't work for a few reasons. The air movement from the smaller rear PSU fan doesn't exhaust the hot air well enough, and the front case fan is far enough away to not provide a great amount of cool air into the PSU vent. That hot air tends to stick around more because of lower CFM.

Your corsair would work..what I'm saying is I prefer a psu that does have a fan on bottom when using the 1200, or 900..

I see no point in expelling air against the chassis bottom!?!?
All of the power supplies that I've dealt with that have fans have always had the fan pull air in from inside the case, and then out the back of the PSU. I have never seen one push air through the power supply and then into the case.
