Question slow and busy

Hello. I want to know how to stop when computer keep busy?
And how can I clean up remove slow? or need more memory ram?

My desktop's Memory Ram is 512 MB
and Hard Drive was new is 500 GB

Can you help me what I would need for my desktop computer. :)

Please let me know if you dont understand my english then I can use my friend.
 
Definitely could use more RAM but like bomberboysk said, we'll need to know more about your system to make sure it can support more RAM and what type it'll need. If it's a prebuilt like a Dell or HP you can just give us the model number.

You can also manage start programs (programs that automatically start when your computer is on) with CCleaner. Just download it and run a scan and get rid of all the junk that has been built up on your computer. CCleaner is perfectly safe...I have used it forever with no issues. Just click "alternative download"

To be honest, you've got an older desktop so if your trying to run new programs or one's that were top of the line when that desktop came out it's going to be slow. Upgrading the RAM will certainly help. What do you use the computer for most often?

Hi. I download ccleaner.com. My computer is fine and nothing help. But severely times viurs long time ago, I always repair window xp until I buy new window vista last years turn slow. Right now I use McAfee. That's why I use my laptop. I try fix for my computer reslove.
And thank for memeroy ram :D

I've got a Dell DImension 4500 - and upgrading the RAM made a huge difference - especially on the web.

My board maxed out at 1 GB - with dual channel 512MB RAM.

I think mine came with 2x256 PC2700 DDR SDRAM - but I put in the Kingston PC3200 and it works fine. You can put in your service Tag - and computer ID into Dell Website and they'll tell you what kindof RAM to use.

Since I had a simliar vintage computer - how much hard drive you got. Mine came with a 20GB hard drive - which is tiny in today's world. Might need some more hard drive space too.

What do I use the computer for most often? I am plan work business artwork programs only in my desktop. My desktop was not anymore use internet for long. My desktop is 8 years old. That's why most people say if desktop was 5 years old over will be slow. That's true?
 
I'd definitely say it's time for an upgrade then. If you are planning on doing digital artwork you would greatly benefit by upgrading to at least a dual-core system. You can get a decent system for around $300 not including the OS or monitor.
