Question to people how live in Europe

Im moving to Europe in a year, and I was wondering, if I take my computer over there, is the only thing I have to change the PSU?

will you even have to change the PSU? im sure that most places you go that will be the most you will have to do. most hardware will run off most PSU's as long as its powerful enough lol...

Most PSU's have a switch on the back of them that allow you to change from 110 volts to 220 volts, that should be all you have to do. So take a look at the back of your psu and see if you have that switch.

Sometimes the video card will not handle the difference between the tv signals from the US and Europe. That's if you have a tuner card in your system. But most are adjustable depending on where you are, just change the settings on the card.

Look at the specifications of your powersupply. Almost all of them handle either 115v or 220v (or something similar to that). The switch on the back of the case (as paratwa mentioned) is a good way to tell, but some newer and high end PSU's will automatically adjust to either voltage won't have the switch.

Any PSU with Active PFC should be autoranging, and thus require no switch. Just get the appropriate European power cord and plug it in. If your PSU doesn't have Active PFC, there should be a small (usually red) switch on the back which toggles between 110/220V or 115/230V. Set it to 220V or 230V when you get to Europe. Make sure it's set correctly, as if you forget to change it when moving to Europe it will very likely destroy the power supply.

Electricity supply in Spain is AC 220 Volts, 50 Hertz. Sockets meet European regulations and use the round pin system
