Hey im kinda new to all this computer stuff... so what exactly is the mhz For the ram also what is DDR? Ive recently just had my friend help me upgrade my computer so i got interested in this stuff!

the mhz is the speed of the RAM (like 333mhz. etc.) and DDR stands for Double Data Rate. It's basically a type of RAM.
 
mhz stands for megahertz. "GB" is the capacity while mhz is the speed

there's a sticky on memory and it tells you everything you need to know about RAM
