Question

just install it and try it out. you can decide which to use.

i have no opinion whether it is better or not, but i use both regularly.
 
Personally I like Avant browser, but a lotta people swear by mozilla. If you're not sure, do what dave said:

Personally, I hate IE, it's given me a lot of problems in the past and I kinda got fed up with it.
 
yeah, ie has its problems but same could be said about any of the listed browsers if place in similar situations, the only reason you hear about the ie problems more is because everyone uses it, to some extent.

i personally like mozilla, avant, and netscape 6.0 or newer.
 
It is question of your "taste". Well configured security parameters and critical updates can achieve good reliability and security of your computer from I-net.
But using IE is little more "dangerous" than using any other browser, because it is most widely used web browser, so hackers and "virus makers ;o)" concentrate their "work" on this. This is comparison of security. True is, that many other browsers provide better user interface(plugins, mouse gestures,....). I don't have personal experience with Mozilla therefore I described this from this wiev.

Although I have said this before, I like Firefox and Opera. However my favorite is still IE6. You may ask why? Well it displays any page I want it to correctly including some pages which require ActiveX. I have also had strange formatting in Firefox when viewing forms and tables on some pages. Although I relaise IE6 is a security risk it is only because 95% of people use it and it's a good opportunity for hackers and others to concentrate on. Wait till Firefox becomes more widely used and then tell me that it's more secure. However, Firefox, Avant, Opera and other broswers are still great.

Your right man, the only browser that displays anyhting correctly is IE, others screw up sometimes. I use Opera and i am not that proud but i feel it is faster and quicker to toggle with its mouse gestures.
 
firefox = no need for service pack 2 + no pop ups....EVER! + no spam + user friendly + free + sweet download mangager :D

I would'nt say that now! :confused: what about DCOM exploit ,Buffer overruns , etc ???
 
I would definately recommend FireFox (to anyone). Its a lot like IE 6.0 with a few extras. In the end its up to you. :D
 
software issue...I think

I realize my question has nothing to do with this replay but I had a question that I couldn't go any where else to get so maybe you guys can help???

Heres my issue: I have this program that I'm trying to run and here is the error that I get: C:/windows/system32/autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.

I'm not an expert so what can I do to get this program to run???

I'm not completely sure but I think that it might be infected with a Trojan. If you have a virus scanner, check it out. ;)
