if a PSU has 2 12+rails i know you hook one up to the mother board what about the other one? ( im confused about this)

should i just get a psu with 1 12v rail?

and on the connectors, the mobo im getting has a 24 pin power plug, but i see some have the 24 pin and some have 20 pin, but there is also some i see with a 20+4 pin one should i just get the 24pin? or what is 20+4?

the 20+4 pin means that you can take off the extra 4 pins if your motherboard is onyl a 20 pin. 20+4 is the best IMO since you can use it with either a 24 or 20 pin mobo. And the PSU's that have 2x +12V rails are the 24pin PSU's. There is still only 1 connector, it just has 2 seperate rails.

aspire PSU are not so great, go with seasonic super silencer 430w or s12-430.
The one i have is very good (Aspire 520W @ 35A), that is one of the best PSU's you can get out there for the price.

so which of those should i get, i want one of the ones with the clear top, so do i need to get the dual 12v one or just the single? because thats all tha is different

the dual 12+ says SLI compliant so i dont guess i need it?

id go with the one with dual 12 volt rails, since you wouldnt be stressing out the one rail if you had alot of hard drives, optical drives,etc...
