Okay, so there is this website where you can mix parts and order with installation. The prices are kinda cheap so i figured. Let's abandon this old Dell and move on to something own built. Now i have a couple of questions about this motherboard.

Question 1.
Is the XFX MB-N780-ISH9 a good base for a gaming comp? I won't push it very hard but is it capable of much? I guess this isn't depending on the motherboard though.

Question 2.
How well will this motherboard fit into a Cooler Master Elite 330 miditower chassi?

Question 3.
Will Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz fit into this? And will like. Nvidia GeForce 8600GTS fit into this. Are all the power supplys there? What do i need to get to get this work properly?

I never really changed anything in a computer so far so i'd really like advice.

1. Yes, that is a very nice motherboard.
2. Yup.
3. Yup, but don't waste your time with a 8600GTS on that board, or that card in general as it is basically crap.

If you want to build the computer yourself, I highly recommend buying everything from Newegg if you are in the US. If you have a budget, I would gladly help you select the proper parts you need.

Well thank you for your answers. I'm ordering the parts from a swedish domestic site. www.datorbutiken.se they do the building, operative system install and tesing and all for 1000kr (100 euro) extra. I think that suit me better then building it myself. Again, thanks for your answers. I'll post more questions later. This was just some basic knowledge needed.

Edit: Just alittle question. To lower the cost alittle. How Intel Core Duo E2140 very performance decreasing compared to the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400.

Also... For my needs which probably won't go over HL2...
Is the XFX MB-N680-ILT9 a pretty good base to? I'll save pretty much money. And i think the other board is just alittle more then what i will have use for.

Yea, that 680i motherboard would probably be a better choice for you. As for the E2140 vs. the E8400, it's no contest. The E8400 is 3x the processor the E2140 is.
