First of all, is RAID supposed to be set up before you have files on both harddrives? Or does it not matter? I have been using both harddrives seperately in my computer for a long time and I now just fancy RAID'ing them, or whatever.
Anyway, the harddrives are both Maxtor (I know they're shit, i was on a budget
), 160GB and 250GB, I know I can set up RAID as it mentions it when i boot-up, motherboard is ASUS P43-DS3L if that's needed.
I know there's different types of set-ups for RAID that are set by numbers, RAID 0, 1, etc. Which would be best for good speed but still decent reliabilty? Also how do I generally go about setting it up?
Oh and finally what benefits if any will i see?
Thanks for any help
