b182tm New Member Feb 14, 2006 #3 PATA uses 40 or 80 pin, and SATA uses 7 pin connectors. Also, SATA is faster, and outperforms PATA. HDD 101

stishdr New Member Feb 14, 2006 #6 so if the ultra and serial work, i would need to find either of those in a ATA-100/133-(SLI board) right? But i can't seem to find anything under Serial ATA-150? thanks.
