i ordered a comp yesterday with cyberpower and i got this email from them:

Hi. This is Phillip from CyberPower. There are two problems. First, the Vista 64 bit is not compatible with our TV tuner. You can either change it to 32 bit or remove the tuner. Second, we will need to remove 2 of the PCI adapters because there is not enough space inside the system. The PCI adapters are: Modem, sound card, and wireless card. I will put the order on hold. Please email me or call me to resolve the issue. Thank you.

obviously i am going to get rid of the tv tuner card but what is he saying about the pci slot? i need to get rid of 2 of the 3? so modem and wireless card would be the obvious solution ?

If there arent enough pci slots you should rethink the motherboard of type of computer. So you only have 1 pci slot?

thats what i was thinking and that is what the email stated but i just got off the phone with him and said i only needed to remove one of them so... i got rid of the modem who needs one now adays any way.

do they make a tv tuner for 64 bit vista?

thanks for the quick response and that problem is resolved now:D

Sounds like not so great motherboard. Why do you need modem doesn't the motherboard have ethernet? Also why would you need modem if you A: have either net B: have a wireless adapter. You can also always get USB wireless adapter that works very well.

You would've been better off with a custom build.

Glad you got everything sorted though :)

The motherboard has 2 PCI slots, why remove 2 then? He has another one left

ya the email was a typo i gave him a call and everything is better now. and the reason i went though them is 1)you guys led me to them and 2)it was actually cheaper to pick out all my parts and have them build it then build it myself

thanks for all the quick responses though:D

1)you guys led me to them

No one of our kind would lead you to them unless you refused to build it yourself...

2)it was actually cheaper to pick out all my parts and have them build it then build it myself

Then they must be losing money eh? You must've picked the wrong parts, or the wrong site ;)
