Quick, hopefully easy question.. OEM

So I was just looking at my resource manager thing real quick in the task manager window and noticed something titled OEMScanner.exe
I was just kinda curious what that was, if anything at all, since it was receiving over 100kb a sec....
And I realize this is probably a really stupid question

I googled it and all I saw was something about like fingerprint scanning, but I wouldn't think it's anything to be worried about if it runs by the system.

Yes thats all I got from Google as well which is why I thought it was kinda weird...
Im probably just being overly paranoid

Well if you have a laptop with a fingerprint scanner then I guess it's normal. If you don't use the scanner then it's a useless process taking up resources.
