Honestly not very Impressed, I like Android and in a sense it could be used as a OS that would have some limitation but for starters you are already only going to have Android 2.1 which is well out of date. I would recommend if you want something more desktop like at a low price you should consider a android tablet running 3.0 Honeycomb.
In any case I would recommend a netbook running a full OS like you can find some with Windows 7 for cheap and if you do not want to run windows that I recommend this one.
