Quick Question Concerning Upgrading

I am building my own pc from scratch. I know what to buy and I have built machines for others. My question is simple. When I build my PC, and after a couple years have gone by to where I need to upgrade my graphics card in order to play on high settings with future games, would I need to upgrade any other components? For example, could I continue using my built machine for many years without buying all new parts?(apart from graphics card, maybe processor in 5+ years).

Thanks!

GPU will be most common to replace. CPU after that. A new CPU might need a new motherboard depending on the socket age and if that's the case then you'll possibly also need different RAM.

To add to what Darren said, you may need to get an upgraded PSU if you don't start with proper wattage for upgrades in the beginning.
