Well, today, i logged on to HPs site and saw another deal after their Monday sale which was supposed to be the best of the year:

HP Pavilion Elite e9270t $1017

Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-750 processor
6GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [3 DIMMs]

1GB ATI Radeon HD 4650 [DVI, HDMI, VGA]

Norton Internet Security(TM) 2010 - 15 month
15 in 1 memory card reader
Integrated 7.1 channel sound
HP Multimedia Keyboard and optical mouse
Microsoft Works 9.0
HP 21.5 inch Full HD Widescreen Monitor
2 year limited warranty for parts and labor, with House Call

I was going to cancel my first order and go with this second system. The items bolded in red are the main differences in the system. One piece of advice from you guys, is the 512mb ATI Radeon HD 4850 in the first system going to be so much better than the 1GB ATI Radeon HD 4650? Or how would they compare to each other? Note, i am not an extreme gamer, but would like to play some modern games.

Thanks for your help!

Oh well, that sucks, just got an email from hp saying they shipped my machine before i could call and cancel :(

Maybe they read your post on this site.. :D

Seriously though - I'd rather have the 4850 - and year warranty - than 4650 and ( limited ) 2 year warranty. Odds are that your PC will be fine.

Housecall would be nice - but you'd probably never use it anyway.

You may have a point. The 2 year warranty as opposed to the 1 year would be nice though for the extra year peace of mind. :(

But who really needs to go from 640 GB hard drive to 750 GB hard drive? I mean, it's nice to have the extra space, but then again, it's not a deal breaker. I wouldn't even need a 500 GB hard drive. I''ve got a 250 GB laptop and i don't even use half of that with all my music, movies and files.

Yeah, freakin HP estimated that the computer wouldn't even be built until Dec 10th, then as soon as i see a new deal on the site, like 20 minutes later i get the email that the freakin computer has been shipped with a fedex tracking number? Murphy's law, any other time the order is so slooowww to ship
