Quick Question On Voltages...

Hi, I just need a little help here.
I have my 4200+ running at 2.5Ghz at around 27*C.

I want to know the proper amount of voltages I should be supporting it at. In BIOS I have it set to 1.425 with the "Special Control" (Sets voltages at percentage, ex 104%) set at auto. In BIOS above this it has all the current (running) voltages in like a faded blue. It shows that the CPU voltages is 1.41.

However, when I go into CPU-Z it states that the voltages is 1.392. Am I running it on good voltages, and is the auto multiplier downgrading it? Or should I Up/Lower the voltages? Im really confused since theres no set voltages to run at since each system is differnet. I would really appreciate it.

*I know that CPU's don't fail just at heat, but also at the voltages they're supported at. Ex; I saw FX's runnning at -25* with the new cooloers, but of course you could still kill those with unproper voltages.*

With your help, hopefully I can push this to 2.55 or maybe even 2.6:) .

edit: working on getting better pic.

Oh your good to go, I had a 4200 X2 that ran at 1.5 at 2.7 ghz (i had a good stepping.) Your good all the way till about 1.55 (if your temps are good.) after that i wouldn't go much higher.

even thouhg cpu-z says 1.392 its really at the 1.425?

so i should just not touch anything having to do with volts and just OC more eventually to 2.55, 2.6?

btw, can someone help me with my pix lol. I upload them into photobucket, but when they come out into my album, theyre smalle than intended.

CPU-Z automatically takes off .03 volts because thats whats really going through your motherboard. Even if you go into BIOS and look at the area where the BIOS tells you how many volts are going through the CPU it will say 1.392 because thats how many volts are actually hitting your processor. Yes you should keep overclocking and raising the Vcore till you either 1. max out your processor (meaning not stable anymore) 2. Hit around 1.55 Vcore 3. Where your temps become not safe anymore a good rule of thumb with the X2 line is to keep under 55 degrees celcius because the max for these chips are 65 degrees celcius. Take this process in little steps everytime you jump Vcore or more FSB test for stability with Prime 95 or SuperPI. The process will take awile but you will get a more stable processor by doing it. Also you should think about the divider on your RAM keep your RAM around 200 mhz. Just because it fails Prime95 or SuperPI doesn't mean its the processor it could be that your RAM is running to high also.

do you have aim/xfire lol?

no seriously thouhg, i need you to teach me about the divider on the RAM. I know what they are, I just dont wanna f* anything up.

Also, I really dont want to overclock till its unstable cause i dont wanna break anything. of course i eventually will, lol, but for now, better safe than sorry i guess.

You won't break anything, as long as your temps are ok and you don't go over 1.55 Vcore you'll be alright trust me i fiddled with my X2 for about a year ( i just got this optie a week ago.) My AIM name is MIK3daG33k

your picture is to big. for one, make sure itts a jpeg, and i think photobucket resizes after 500kb? just make it smaller and youll be set.

What stepping was it?

I don't remember cause i sold it about 2 weeks ago now and i forgot lol. I remember the batch week was 0522 but i can't rememebr the beginning. It ended in dhe though something like CBDHE i think.
