Do these packages usually come with thermal paste or should I order some better brand along with my purchase? I plan to overclock this thing but it will be my first time doing so do I need to get an aftermarket cooler or do CPUs nowawdays come with decent coolers. The overclock wont be too high probably just a few steps.

thank you for your time!

The stock coolers that come with the processor are ok. They are really made just to cool a processor and not really be pushed that hard, and they work fine for that. That's a very nice chip to play with high temps. I would recommend an aftermarket cooler you'll be much better off in the long run. Also you have to think about the temps in the room. That can really change the temps inside your case very quickly. You will have to measure your case and see what will fit first. You can pick up a nice 120mm cooler for around $50 these days.

I will always recommend aftermarket TIM. Here are a few popular brands.

Wow, looks like it would work well but that thing is Large by Huge for sure!

One question to the OP though, if you are going to buy a new mobo and CPU, why are you getting an AM2+ cpu instead of an AM3? Just pay a couple bucks more and get the 955.
