Quick Question

I'm about to start my new build and i was just wondering, and this might be a kinda stupid question but, if i could use the hard drive i'm using now with my XP on it for my new pc, so i didn't have to worry about vista or anything, but i also heard some stuff on why i should just get vista, some hardware, games, drivers etc., are only compatible with vista. Soooooooo what do you guys think?

When you got new Motherboard, you would need to re-install the OS. In most of the case, direct transfer of old HDD with OS in it would not work.

alright thanks, i figured it wasnt gonna be really possible. Wait, would the restore disks that came with my PC work to reinstall the OS, or would that just cause too much driver confusion?

It most likely will not work. There are plenty of work-arounds for the directx 10 games... but vista is pretty much compatible with everything, you will have more trouble... put it this way I have vista and I play games made in 92... the only thing that screws alot of stuff up is the multi-core processors.
