Quick Question

i just was wanting to get opinions on which pc is better.
dell dimension 4600

or

dell optiplex gx400

a guy i know said i can buy either one at the same price so i just want to know which one is better. thanks for your input

2.8 ghz pentium 4
250g hd
2 gb ram

optiplex gx 400
40 gb hd
512 mb ram
1.7 ghz pentium 4


i don't know much about computers but someone told me that the optiplex was good. but im getting either one for 150 and they both work and have windows xp pro sp2. the obvious choice to me is the dimension, its hardly used it looks like. but like i said someone said the optiplex was good? i don't know.

Out of the two I'd definitely go with the Dimension... there's nothing special about either of them, but the specs on the Dimension are quite a good deal better.
 
yup, get the dimension, but you should throw in another 300 bucks and build a waaay more decent budget computer.
 
if money is a problem i would rather go with Dell. just my thought. goto Dell and query refurbished. i was told even if someone refused to accept it, it was classifed as refurbished. Others have posted about build your own. Yes, it depends on your budget. I like Dell better than Gateway. building is best.
