i was expecting an awnser like this, i did not ask this question, and your response is useless. i am a aware it is old i stated that in my oringal post

are you suggestingl i spend $300.00 or more to build a cheap computer which i dont have or spend $5.00 to get a good performance boost for what i need it to do, and maybe play with some overclocking


the computer in my sig is also old and is only slightly faster than this one and it runs games well and windows 7 well with all aero functions on

there are many uses for a old computer and this outlook is not one i agree with i use this computer for slightly older games, internet and media, but apart from that i could use it as a server or media centre pc, old technolgy is not junk.

I don't know for sure but that was not a very common CPU. Back in that era the most common ones were the 2100, 2400, and 2700. I actually had a 2100 up until last year when I upgraded. Had it OC'd to 2.1 gigs. Then again I don't play all the newest games. I mainly play MMO's and I pick one and stick with it until it gets completly boring. Only played 2 in 6 years and still loving the 2nd one.

Oh yeah the 2100 I had was from what I heard a 2700 downgraded or something. It had a 400 FSB. I also had the radeon 9500 red board that could be turned into a 9800 pro if anyone remembers that..lol

Pretty sure all the 2100 were 266 FSB and the 2700 were 333 FSB. But yeah, use to unlock the ATI 9000 series SE models to Pro models. If you had the right memory and PCB you could unlock the 64bit memory to 128bit too.
