quick question

ok so most dvd/bluray drives that i have seen just have the normal disk tray, but do any have it so you can just put the disk in the slot? like how the wii is or anything? and is that way have any advantages or disadvantages
 
Slot loading drives are mostly only on laptops. Not sure it we'll ever see slot loading drives on desktops.
 
I've never broken a tray or even heard of someone else breaking a tray (until now). You must be hard on them!

i just have bad luck of dropping things on them and walking in to them while they are open, luckily all 8 or so of the ones i have broke have been at school witrh shitty 20 year old ibm things or something lol, and they way they had them at my school was on tiny desks so they were already leaning half off the desk, and everyone ****ed with them and they were made with the cheapest plastic i have ever seen so that might be why
