quick question

alright i have a dell dimension B110 desktop with a celeron 2.53Ghz processor.

i am currently looking for a upgrade (pentium 4) out of another dimension.
i found a pentium4 1.8ghz dimension on craigslist for 20 bucks. now, that doesnt look like a upgrade to me... but i dont know everything. would swapping this 1.8ghz P4 into my desktop make it faster or slower?

it would make it slower, to make it faster get a P4 faster than 2.6ghz,im using a p4 3.2ghz

the celeron is based on the Pentium 4, but with less cache and a few features disabled. You will see a slight improvement with a 2.4GHz Pentium 4, anything higher and the improvements will get better.
