Quick Question

I just bought and installed a AMD 4400+ dual core. I've been running it for a week (at stock speed) with absolutely no problems. However, it's been idling at 44-45 degrees. I'm using a Zalman CNPS 9500 as my heatsink, with the fan at max. I was just wondering if those temps seem high. My 3000+ single core idled about 10 degrees cooler.

Thanks in advance for the help.

As you said thats a bit higher than you would expect from that HSF, nothing to worry about though. Have you put on a good TIM like arctic silver, or any at all?

And it'll take a while for the thermal paste to settle, so when that has happened it'll be a bit cooler.

Thanks for the replies. Currently, I'm using the Zalman thermal paste that came with the HSF. Though I decided to invest in some Arctic Silver today. Hopefully, that will drop my temps a bit.
