Quick RAM question. First Boot trouble.

Performed my first computer build today, but had trouble when booting. My DRAM light on my mobo is red, sometimes blinking. I'm pretty sure something is wrong with my RAM and am beginning to worry that what I selected may not be compatible with my mobo.

My motherboard

My RAM

My Motherboard manual says that the following are compatible:

G skill F3-10600CL8D-2GBHK

G skill F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK (XMP)

But my RAM is the F3-10600CL8D-4GBHK

I don't know much about RAM, and figured something 'in between' those two listings would be compatible, but can't get that DRAM light to stop blinking.

Extra info: I've tried using my 'Mem OK' button and gotten the light to momentarily stop blinking and then the comp reboots with same problem. I have no image on screen. I've made sure the RAM sticks are in the correct slots DIMM A1 and DIMM B1 (the two blues ones).

All help is mega appreciated. You guys were a big help in selecting my components (of course I went and changed the RAM without asking)
 
have you tried using one stick at a time?

those lists on the manual aren't definitive as there is too much ram out there to test it all.
 
That RAM will work fine. The link you listed is actually DDR3-1333, but both that you said are yours will work with your motherboard.

As innercx said, try each stick, separately, and let us know if anything happened. You could just have gotten bad RAM.
 
Tried each stick individually in each slot A1 and B1 and still no go. Also let the computer run though the whole set of Mem OK tunings.

I'm beginning to become concerned for my CPU. Shouldn't I see something come up on the monitor even without RAM? Or do you need RAM to boot up?

Also, I installed the internal speaker to the mobo but I hear no beeps when the computer tries to boot. Shouldn't it beep once if the CPU is functioning?

Is their a definitive way to know my CPU cooler is working? I have the corsair H50 and the fan is running and I have power running to the cooler portion sitting over the CPU - it gives off a subtle vibration sensation when touching it, but I'm not 100% sure it's running.
 
The CPU cooler is not mechanical. If it is attached and the thermal compound is seated between it, then it will work. The fan on top works if it is turning.

The computer will not POST (power on self test) or show video without RAM.
See if you can borrow some DDR3-1333 from a friend close by and see if it will run with that. That will show if it is your ram or the Mother Board.
You may also want to try the ram in another (known working) board to see if the RAM will work in it. This will also tell you if it is the Board or the RAM.
