Quick recovery question

Anyone know if the recovery partition wipes the entire hard drive or if it gives you the option to install it on a certain partition?

Hmm....ya know, I've never done it with multiple partitions before. If you're gonna do it I'd definitely back up any data you have on other partitions.

Well, that's my issue. I don't have any other media to back up my stuff on, so I shrunk my windows partition to create a second, so I don't lose it....I just don't know if it'll work. I could use the restore CD, but the recovery partition is so much easier.
