Quick Resolution Question

Say you go into the settings of a game that you are playing..and change the resolution. Like 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768..is there actually quality difference, or does is just make the screen larger/smaller? Thanks.

there is a quality difference, the numbers refer to the number of pixels on the screen. having a larger resolution increases the quality of the game.

And, if you have an LCD monitor, you want to have the resolution at the "native resolution" in order to have the best looking results...
