I got a 30" running off of a radeon 2400 hd agp card and there are 2 things I need help with (the card says it needs a 270 power supply, recommends a 300 but I have a 250 and I think this my be the reason for my problems). One problem is I try to run my 30" and my 20" off of the card at once (the card has dual dvi output) and when I run both of them the 30" shows maybe 1/3 of the desktop area and I only am able to set the screen res to around 2000x1500 and u have to scroll around to view the rest of the desktop, when I am just using the 30" by it self it runs fine at 2500x1600. 2nd problem is that When I try to play a game (medieval 2: total war) on the 30" when the game starts up the screen goes black and from there the only thing I can do is manually shut down the comp with the power button. Is this all cuz of the power supply issue or something else?

I'm running that same card in my current Dell XPS running two 21's. There are certainly some quirks here and there. Try turning FastWrite off in Catalyst (in SmartGart), and double check the Display Manager in Catalyst. I think your issue may be that the two monitors are different Max resolution. You'll definitely need to mess with it and post back here. I have a 30" on the way...if Dell ever ships the 3008 again. I've been delayed 3 times now...Feb 11th is the 'new' ship date.

the black screen is a PSU issue, however, the scrolling screen is how you have your monitors connected. being 2 different sizes, they most likely have different max resolutions, and they are setup through windows in a master/slave type relationship. you have to either tone down the resolution so that both fit correctly, or switch which one is the master and the slave with the "properties --> Settings" tab when you right click the desktop. Hope that helps.
