Quicktime and itunes

Hi, my itunes stopped working and i uninstall it and tried to uninstall quicktime and that is where the problem started. I got the error 2096 that loads of people get, but have tried deleting many ways and it wont go. Basicly i have got down to the problem but have no idea how to fix it.
When i go into program files/quicktime i can delete all fines in there except QTsystem. When i try to delete this it shows the same error that i get when i try many other ways to uninstall qucktime
CFchartactersetBitmaps.bitmap Access is denied
Make sure disk is not full or write protected.
I haven't been able to use my itunes in 2 weeks. please someone help!!

Here's a link to Apple's resources. When you say you can delete all the files, do you mean under Start, My Computer, C-Drive, Program files, Itunes (Quicktime)?

I would try deleting all of your program files for both Itunes and Quicktime. Also if this doesn't work there is a program called CCLEANER which basically has an un-installer in it that works pretty good. They also have a registry cleaner (that might help your issue too).
 
sorry for delay. thank you for your help. It didnt work exactly, for some reason it did not delete all the old files .I ended up using Revo uninstaller then doing a search for anything with quicktime and iTunes then once everything was gone i used your link and reinstalled. thank you for taking the time to help!
