Quicktime/Demosheild Player Issues

My mother purchased PhotoImpact 11 PRO at fry's today (because it came in a pretty box). Once she got home and tried to install it she got this error message.

After a bit of googling i found a post from the manufacturer's website that said suggested uninstalling Quicktime (QT7 on her pc). When i directed her to uninstall QT, another error message came up.

Has anyone either had this specific problem, or know how to uninstall a program w/o Control panel?

Did you reboot the PC after you uninstall QT???

Do you have admin rights to the PC???

Yes and Yes. I've done all the obvious things, My problem is just that QT won't uninstall.

are you using add / remove programs under control panel???

I used a deletion program to uninstall/remove all damaged QT files.
I was still getting errors, so i was able to narrow down the problem. Thanks guys.
