Quietest computer

Aim for a Sempron. :)

Compare the output wattage to see which chip produces the smallest possible heat and build on that.

Water cooling would be quieter than fans

And using flash memory instead of hard drives...I know that is possible, I just don't know how

you can get compact flash >> IDE converters. So you would boot of some 2 gig cf card. Then you would need a couple more for storage.

So if you eliminate the optical drives, use flash memory, and water cooling, then there are no moving parts inside the computer, with the exception of the PSU fan

there is no psu fan, and for the water cooling you still need pumps and radiators. I think sticking with minimal air cooling would be the best, seeing he has a fanless heatsink for cpu, fanless psu and no graphics card.

Yay responses. :)
I would use rubber screws, I looked into that as well. The HTCP case is best, since it would be a sort of home theater or media center computer. I guess I could use the P180 if there is nothing else.

Where would I find output wattage?
