quiting IE sometimes causes hundreds of pop ups

its not an auto play problem, it come sup with autoplay, but instead of reading the disk as a game it reads it a s a disk with pictures on or videos.

it is definately a dvd rom drive as it was playing them the other day.

i have bene through the link you posted but i couldnt find NoDriveTypeAutoRun in my registry so not sure if it has osmething to do with this, i also tried to find it but with no look.
 
Just ignore it. I believe when I plug my flash drive in, it reads it as pictures and I don't have any pictures on it.
