Is it worth buying? I wanted to get the best stuff I could get so it would last at least 4-5 years before I had to buy a new cpu
 
The thing with buying the best piece of hardware, is that they are insanely overpriced. And once another processor comes out to top it, the price of that goes down dramatically.

So if I were you, I would either wait for the QX6800 to be released shortly, then buy a QX6700, or if money is no object, then buy it now.

But just something to think about, theres really nothing out there that a high-end core 2 duo wont be able to accomplish.
