Racing game for ps3

Evening everyone!
I'm not too knowledgeable about racing games, so could someone recommend a racing game for ps3? Preferably one where you can customize cars aesthetically and for performance.

Also, I've been looking for a racing game with a decent amount of sport bikes in it. Know any?

I have Juiced 2 and GRID and they are both awesome. But GRID you cant customize your cars much but its still a sick game. Juiced 2 has customizing and I think by the end of the game there's about 89 cars to choose from, from memory, (you unlock more as you go). Gameplay in Juiced 2 isnt as good I think, it gets a bit repetitive, thats just in my opinion though.

there really isn't much variety right now that's why i chose juiced 2 for the customization. carbon is a good game, a bit short though.

GRID = fantastic :D

Don't hesitate on GT5 Prologue, it's a great game. It's a huge demo that will keep you entertained til the actual game comes out in 2010 :D
 
Sims are track based games like Gran Turismo and GTR. They tend to have more or less realistic handling of the car which means slowing down before corners , proper throttle control so you don't spin out. g25racer can enlighten you more on this topic.:)

Arcade games like NFS, Burnout, and Juiced focus on letting the player have a sense of speed so taking corners at 100mph is one of its features because they don't use race sim physics engines.
