radeon 5770 extended desktop problems

Hey guys,
I have a Gigabyte Radeon 5770 and I use the extended desktop feature to display videos on my 52" Sony Bravia v4100. Recently, my extended hasnt been working. I tried plugging the cable into all the DVI ports on the card and there is still no picture on the TV. I also uninstalled the old video drivers and the old catalyst software and I upgraded everything and I still have the problem. I've tested the DVI-HDMI cable that I use to connect my computer to my TV and that cable is working fine. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out with this problem!!!:)

What are the rest of your specs? also what version of catalyst are you running? the newest version is 10.6

I've seen similar issues before and it ahs something to do with a setting or two that reset themselves whenver you install a new version.
 
Wrong section :) ? You've fully tested the cable? you're sure there's no tears inside it or something? Does it work with another computer?
