hello, new to the forums, *first post*

i have a radeon 5870 and an amd gigabyte motherboard 790x chipset.

my problem: i have bought two active displayports, one from dell, and one from accel, both claiming to extend my desktop across 3 displays. they dont work.

as anyone else dealing with this? or if u have, how did u fix it?

i have windows 7 if that helps. the monitors are plug and play.

TY in advance, any help is much appreciated.

btw, i searched my problem about 5 different times and i didnt come to anything remotely close to what im dealing with.

yes i just got my computer a month ago. i suppose you mean ccc? if you do, then yes i have looked clicked around a Bunch on there. nothing to help me there.

You only need one of the active display port adapters. Hook two of your monitors up to the DVI's, and one from the display port to the adapter to the third monitor.

And yes do you have catalyst control center 10.2 or newer drivers loaded?

You should go here and get the latest graphics card drivers.

You may either need to go to display properties or find eyefinity feature when you go on ATI's control panel (ya, catalyst control center) after you install it to activate that third monitor.
