Hi I need a better gpu, I didn't really want to spend 500$ just to get a card that runs 20 fps better can someone help me lol.

was thinking about this card http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_557_559&item_id=051482

also Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Socket AM3+ AMD 990FX+SB950 chipset Dual-Channel DDR32000(O.C.)

thats my motherboard.. I'm a noob but I'm assuming any board with pci-e can use the card ? >>

I also need a better cpu and since I can't get intel unless I switch my board I was thinking of the vishera that came out recently.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284&Tpk=FX-8350

mine is a phenom II x6 1055t the reason I want to do this is so I can stream my game with a constant 60 fps or higher and no drops, if I stream with my current setup I get like 30-50fps

What games were you running? I remember getting 60 fps easy with a HD 6950 with Phenom II 975...

GTX 660Ti is very good, next best to choosing GTX 670, but you won't feel THAT much of a jump from a 6950 (I used 6950 and jumped to 670; everything is faster but not as fast as I thought it would be).

better get an hd7870, would be almost the same in price and it has better performance. (and cheaper then the gtx660ti)

I get 60 fps easy without streaming, streaming seems to take alot of my computer :P

you think its better then the one I linked? I want a card that will give me the most fps boost for the price.

seems like alot of people have been hating on AMD lately, I go through reviews and I hear alot of bad, and people reccomending either intel for cpus or nvidia for gpus... :/

I haven't had any problems with my 7950 take newegg reviews with a grain of salt i've seen some stupid things posted on them before lol

Bet money there's less than half the review as the number of items sold, more will take the time for some thing that fails than if it works.

Right now, I would take a 7950. I was planning on taking the 660Ti/670 route, however when you look at price/performance, the 7950 destroys the Nvidia counterparts. You are talking 2-3 FPS difference over the 670, but a price difference which certainly does not match that

And with the latest drivers they match and beat the nvidia cards at BF3 and other games they used to loose at or only barely won at so they are way better than they look on most benches which don't have those updates.

A new CPU would benefit you more than a new GPU If you are only having problems when streaming. I know you already mentioned that you were going to upgrade to piledriver but you might not need a new GPU.

ok, I am going to go for the vishera it's 250$ though.. on tigerdirect.ca too bad its out of stock on new egg, and for the card I will go for one of the 7950's then but which should I buy first?

which do you think I will notice the fps change the most like I was just going to buy the vishera and see if I can install it myself with any problems and hope that I see a noticable fps change in game.

Get the 8320, you can overclock it to the 50 on the stock cooler easily and save some.

While streaming the processor might help the most.

What program are you using to stream? If it uses the GPU to do the encoding then a new gpu would be a better choice. If it uses the cpu to encode then you would want to get the cpu first.
