Radeon 9800 pro obsolete?

When I bought my 9800 pro two years ago it cost me around $250, which now that I look back on was a rip off. But is it still considered a decent card today compared to all the new ones out there? Thanks.

It's a few generations old. Video cards go fast, so compared to the top-of-the-line cards today, 7950gx2,1900xtx, yes it looks pretty shabby.

It's old but still pretty good as long as you don't plan to play any recent games with max settings. I can play Oblivion with this card on 1280x1024 but my FPS drops to 1 when the enemies burst into "blood" in the sewers.

X1900 if your looking for the same brand, or got for a Nvidia 7800 GT

He's not asking about buying a new card, he's asking if his 9800PRO is still considered a decent card, which it is.

And the 9800PRO is AGP, the x1900 and 7800GT are PCI-E.

He doesn't want a new card, he's just asking about his old one lol. And also, why 7800gt?? It costs the same or even more than the 7900gt, and its not as good as it.
