I need a new video card to play such games as HL2 and Doom 3 because I have a Ti 4200.. I have found both of these cards at about the same price. 9700 pro is 135 bucks and 9800 SE is about 115. Any input on which one will give better performace would be greatly apprecieted. Also I am running Msi 6398-I Mobo, older one supports p4 400/533 FSB, i got a 1.8 ghz p4 running at 400 fsb, but im about to upgrade that aswell to 2.8 533 fsb, and 512 pc-2100 ddr ram. I think that should be fine,but if i need more I might throw in another 256 stick. Thanks guys..

Okay, I did some google searchs, for about an hour and read up some more.,

My thinking was, for 110 dollars I buy that card I get a radeon 9600 pro/XT performance, for about the same price. But.. If I can get it soft modded, * from what i've read people have had good luck with powercolor * I get a radeon 9800 pro.. For 110 dollars.. Put's a smile on my face..
Actually.. It'll be more like 140 - 150 dollars once I buy the new fan.. Still
