Its a mid range card. Don't expect to max out crysis or anything like that. But it will get the job done. And yes, it is PCI-E

what you have is an AGP (accelerated graphics port) version of the 3870. sorry to say, but it's pretty much useless for a new build. PCIe has replaced AGP as the norm for graphics card slots. you're better off keeping the 4850. if you're looking to save money, you might consider a 600w PSU, that would be more than enough for your build:

If it's the top one then you can't use that with a new motherboard you will have to get a new card because I don't think that make motherboard's with AGP slots anymore and even if they did the card would not be worth it. The only way your going to get that in a PC is if you find an old P4 computer or something.
