2. I believe all 3870's are PCI-E, which is the standard now-a-days.

Its a mid range card. Don't expect to max out crysis or anything like that. But it will get the job done. And yes, it is PCI-E

if I can use this gpu that can save me money, and I don't plan on playing and super hardcore games like crysis, I'll save games like that for console.

what you have is an AGP (accelerated graphics port) version of the 3870. sorry to say, but it's pretty much useless for a new build. PCIe has replaced AGP as the norm for graphics card slots. you're better off keeping the 4850. if you're looking to save money, you might consider a 600w PSU, that would be more than enough for your build:

If it's the top one then you can't use that with a new motherboard you will have to get a new card because I don't think that make motherboard's with AGP slots anymore and even if they did the card would not be worth it. The only way your going to get that in a PC is if you find an old P4 computer or something.
