RAID 0 Help

Hello,

I am trying to access the RAID settings for my Gigabyte GA-EP31-DS3L Motherboard. I have only just installed this motherboard today and do not know how to access them.

I have 2 harddrives from my Old PC in this PC which has an RAID0 Win7 Installation (Intel Matrix ?) on it.

Do I need to install anything with my Motherboard CD because I have no access to Windows due to no installation.

Also, when I tried to install Windows before, it recognised 0 drives! but BIOS see's them I think..

Can anyone help please,

You need to recreate the RAID array on your new motherboard, and that does not require an OS. Most likely you will need to reinstall Windows though when you recreate the array.

How do I enter my RAID setup please?

I checked through my motherboard BIOS and couldnt find a IDE/AHCI or RAID.

Could it be that I have put the SATA wires into the wrong SATA ports? Which ports do they have to be in by the way, I put them in random ports
 
I hate to tell you this but, your motherboard doesn't support raid. It is a ich7 chipset. You will now need to buy a raid addin card.

There are some motherboards that do require you to use certain ports, but read below.

I checked as well and that is correct, your motherboard does not have onboard RAID.
 
I put both the harddrives with the old motherboard, and deleted the RAID setup. Then I used a harddrive with this new motherboard and put one in my old computer.
