Raid 0 Question

I was gonna run raid becasue it seemed the only cheap alternative to make my systems loading speeds bit faster,Its my hard drive thats the whole bottleneck of my system atm and it annoys me.

But listening to 87dtna,s suggestion on the WD black drive,Theyre quite fast so i imght just get one of those.

Performance
Drive Transfer Rate 126 MBps
Seek Time 4.2 ms
Spindle Speed 7200 rpm
Average Latency 4.2 ms

Disk I/O will always be your bottle neck as all other components operate at much higher speeds.

I just think RAID 0 is such a waste of time and energy supporting on an end user desktop because if it crashes you lose everything. If you use Windows it will likely crash at one point in time. Like even my Vista and 7 boxes will on occasion crash and need a reboot, and a reboot fixes it. However, if I ran RAID 0 it would be more prone to out right failing.

However, you can do whatever it is you want.

Will my mobo have any sort of limit to the new 6gb/s SATA interface?

i dont want it been hold up by something. :P
