Raid configuring.

How exactly do you set the Raid configuration of multiple HDD's? Is it done once your computer is activated or is it a mechanical process? Any good sources for RAM? I still haven't decided on the type of ram I would most need.

First of all, the motherboard needs to support raid or you will need to buy raid add-in cards. If the motherboard supports raid then you need to set it up first in the bios and then you will need to do a fresh install of windows. What operating system are planning on using? XP requires the raid driver at the beginning of the installation using the F6 prompt. You will need drivers loaded on a floppy. What raid level you want determines how many hard drives are needed.
