Raid drivers????

i've got intel motherboard D975XBX2, and cpu core 2 quad q6600,
4 gb of ram , and 4 * 320 sata hard drives,
the operating system is win 64-bit 2003 edition,
i made the 4 hard drives stripe 0 in the RAID menu of intel (CTRL + I), then in the windows setup i press f6,
here is the problem i've got :
when i put the win 64 bit in the CD rom and insert the floppy (which i get from intel site for 64 bit windows) , everything is ok , it shows me about 8 to 12 option that one is exactly what the mainboard manual has said about and the windows would set up which i'm working now with,
but when i want to install the 32-bit windows, all the senario, it shows me only 4 option, (i insert the 32 bit floppy driver which i get from intel site too), that 2 of them are for AHCI (i guess) and one is for mobile, the one and only that left seems to be the right driver (but it is not a driver that motherboard manual has said about), when i choose that it copies its files, but at the windows setup (partition part) which you choose which drive letter to install, it shows no hard drives, (it says no hard drives detected)
i WANT to have win 32 bit , cause so many program do not work with win 64, and i'm having trouble with win 64 drivers ,
anybody know how can i install win 32-bit ? or what is my prob about win 32 RAID drivers?
(i hope it is not cause my CPU, i will kill myself !!!)
 
What are the 4 options (exactly what they say)? Also, are you using the ICH7R or Marvell RAID controller?

One more thing, you are trying to install windows server 2003?
 
4 option are these :

intel (r) ICH9 sata AHCI controller (desktop ICH9R)
intel (r) 82801HEM SATA RAID controller (mobile TCH8M-e)
intel (r) 82801HEM/HBM sata AHCI controller (mobile ICH8M-E/M)
intel (r) ICH8R/ICH9R sata RAID controller


i'm trying to install win xp sevice pack 2

It should also prompt you for which of these 2 you want:

ok , i'll try it now and tell you what will happen,
anyway how can i format my windows drive for installing the new windows?
 
there are only 4, another thing to say , sometimes when i want to choose the 4 option the pc hang, so i have to restart
 
isn't it cuase the CPU ? (i guess someone told me i can use only 64 bit windows with these cpus, i can't remember exactly!)

I also used those for my ICH7R board. Worked perfectly. I recommend slipstreaming those drivers using nLite.
 
:( i tried, still that 4 option. i REALLY REALLY want win 32 bit ,
i'm really afraid this is cause my CPU, in device manager under "computer" i have "ACPI multiprocessor" x64-based pc" , i'm afraid it means i'm just allowed to install win 64-bit!! :(((
anyone help !!!!!!
 
If you are getting 4 options still the driver seems to think you have an ICH8 or 9. It shouldn't be due to the CPU because even though the CPU can run in 64bit mode, running a 32bit OS means the CPU is effectively a 32bit CPU.

It sounds to me like you are using a 64 bit OS cd to install the 32 bit version? I don't think you can do that. I'm sure you have to use a 32 bit OS cd if you want a 32 bit OS. Maybe thats why it won't load the right driver for you.

if it is possible tell me what to do first, then what to do next...
(i've read the 7.2 part, but more confusion i've get!)

I would try the F6 Floppy Utility so that you can skip step 1 and 2 below. All I can do is go by the readme, I don't have the board to try it and see what options I get:

5.3 Pre-Installation Using the F6 Method.

Note: The Steps 1 and 2 can be skipped if you use the F6 Floppy
disk utility provided by Intel. This utility can also be
downloaded from the following website. These methods
are applicable to systems configured for RAID or
AHCI mode.

1. Extract all driver files from the installation package.

the system until the next reboot as the software will
