Raid error

Hello all, im a first time poster here. Today I booted up my computer and in my bios/startup both hard drives in my raid setup say error. The computer will boot into windows xp and then i get an error from the matrix storage manager saying one of the raid volumes failed a read/write and that I should backup. I have tried reseating my cables. I am trying to get a different set of sata cables to change them. My raid is striping, and unfortunantly I have information on those drives that I really would be in a bind if I lose it. If anyone has any ideas or knows how to maybe how to isolate the problem more. Windows runs and I can access all of my information, but I fear soon I will not be able to. I am posting from a different computer and am trying to locate a computer that can backup my drives. Any help will be much appreciated.

Either get an external drive or another internal drive and backup your data to it. It could be that you got hit by a power surge or something and it hit your drives. Raid 0 is not good for data backup, only read/write speed. If you still wanna run a raid 0 then check to see what raid to run so that you can have striped disks backedup to a mirrored set. I think its a raid 0+1? not sure...
