RAID, JBOD, etc

Well, originally I was going to get a 400gb HDD, but then I decided on two 250gb drives, mainly cause its cheaper. I then thought about putting them in RAID, but I want the full 500gb of storage space. Is my only option JBOD?

Thanks for your help. BTW: My mobo only supports RAID 0/1/0+1 JBOD.
 
JBOD (Just a bunch of drives) is the opposite of partitioning- instead of taking one physical drive and making several logical drives, it takes several physical drives and makes it one logical drive.
 
Ill add to that. It stores data like this: it goes on writing data to one drive, and after the drive is taken up, it proceeds to the next drive. No striping, Mirroring, or anything cool.

Useless.
