RAID on Asus P5E

Feel free to put this post where it belongs if it's not here.... :)

Board Asus P5E, 2 SATA drives, both identical drives and drivers for RAID are installed.

I just can't seem to make it work. I'm trying to make it work using the board book but i'm probably missing something.

In the BIOS i can change the SATA to RAID rather than IDE, i'm suppose to see something like "Onboard Serial ATA BOOTROM which i don't see after i press Enter...

Then, on bootup i can press CTRL+I to configure the RAID, the one i want to configure is 1 because i would like to have a perfect copy of the main drive to the second one.

I tried it with and without XP Pro installed and everytime i get a BSOD.

What i'm i doing wrong....

Thanks

You can't switch it to RAID after you have the OS installed, you need to install the OS on the RAID array after it is setup.

You had a similar board to me, and all you need to do is set the SATA mode to RAID, there shouldn't be anything about "BOOTROM".

However if it's like my P5K Deluxe, then there are no RAID drivers for XP.
