I've tried Riva Tuner, which undoes my work after i restart my pc, and ATI tools to no avail.
Any Other methods/Riva tuner walkthroughs?

Thanks

If you have the driver disk for your card, I think there's a GPU overclocking program on it. I got an MSI 8600GT. It's called DualCoreCenter. It can be used to change GPU clock speeds, memory clock speeds, minimum fan speed, and maximum temperature. If you have an MSI mobo it can monitor CPU temp too. Let me know if you find it on the CD or download it online. I'll tell you how to use it.

Riva tuner won't save the settings unless you check the box that says "Apply overclocking at Windows start-up settings" I wouldn't recommend always having the card overclocked/increased fan speed, just when you need (which is why Riva tuner is so great :D) just save a configuration that you can load up when you need it.

Wow, thanks for all the speedy responses. A friend told me about EVGA Precision. It has a very simple fan speed controller, so i just made the quick fix. I was able to get a 40FPS overclock (CSS) but it was unstable, so i set it back to slightly above stock settings (couldn't resist a 666 core clock)
