so im getting a new motherboard that's unfortunately accepts DDR-1066 but my old ram is 800MHz rather than 1066MHz so i was sorta wondering,
if i use my 800MHz for the new motherboard and overclock the ram up to 1066MHz, do you think that would make it compatible with the motherboard?
the motherboard i am planning to get is:
MSI P7N SLI Platinum NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI Core 2 Quad/Core 2 Extreme/Core 2 Duo/Pentium 1333 MHz PC2-8500 (DDR2-1066) ATX Motherboard Retail
where as the ram i have is A-Data 2gb Dual Channel 800MHz
(the ram is two 1gb's)
