Ram and MoBo Compatibility

So, I just ordered a new set up on Newegg and I just realized i may have done something stupid. I bought OCZ Platinum DDR3 2000 Ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227569
with the ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131402

Now for some reason I thought that the MoBo supported DDR3 2000, but i see its only able to support DDR3 1800...im still kinda a newb when it comes to builds but i was wondering if it is possible to make this RAM work with the MOBO...would it just run slower? Or should i just return it and buy some 1600 Ram? Also I would love some input on the build i have. It's nothing extreme but i was looking for a decently priced upgrade. Thanks everyone!

I am pretty sure that the RAM would get run at the highest possible speed the mobo supports. I think it depends some on the mobo. But, I have 800mhz RAM, but my laptop only has a fsb of 533mhz, so it steps it down.

Ok thats what i was wondering, because in any case if Asus actually has an AMD MoBo that runs the 2000 Ram I can always buy a new MoBo later, anyone have any luck with the OCZ RAM i have heard good things about it in the past.
