Ram clocks and questions.

well, i have overclocked my cpu, and my gpu, but i havent really played with my ram at all, so today i was playing around with a few settings in my bios (boy do i love asus) well i set my memory timings for aggressive, i dont really understand what memory timings are, so if someone could clearly describe them for me that would be wonderful, and the rams frequency as well, dont really know what thats all about, as well as the channel. i thought ram was "dual channel" but mine shows up as single channel, maybe im missing something, or possible i just wasnt paying attention when i bought the ram. i dont have any idea what the name of it is, manufacturer wise, but it IS pc3200, 2x 256 that is with an amd processor thats clocked at sometime x 13, i forget, with my radeon x700pro. procs an amd athlon xp 3000+ thats at 2.01ghz. here is a pic of cpuz's view of my ram. please tell me if someone thinks that the clocks are too high, mem timings too high, or you think i could possibly go higher. please not i dont have any ram heatsinks on, but my current mobo temp is 25C, which is relativley cool. thanks in advance for anyone who responds.

wow, shortly after posting that, i took a brief minute to check over some temps, as well as voltage readings before i went to bed and i almost had a heart attack, i was having some sever spikes in my voltage, so sever that aloy of my case fans would slow down to below 500rpms and my +5.0v would shoot up to a near +5.5v, which causes more heat in its destination/source which is really a negative thing. i was praactically on the brink of my power supply dieing out, and if that would have happen i would have been pissed. oh well, i have new mem clock now, same timings as before but my clock now is as 193, which im guesing is alot more stable than what it was before. oh well, just wanted to update. still need info on the listed above thanks again

Are those readings from the BIOS? It may be time for a new PSU.

Your timings seem quite lax, you could probably go to CAS2.5, if the RAM's decent. It's really impossible to say without knowing what RAM you actually have!

As always, the real test with both RAM and CPU clocks is stability. You can try increasing the RAM timings, and putting it through memtest. If it doesn't report any errors, your RAM is stable. If it does, loosen the timings again. The same applies with your CPU. You can up the FSB further, provided the temps are OK, and if Prime95 doesn't give any errors after a few hours, it's stable.
