ram compatibility

is there any reason that ram is not compatible with the inspiron? someone commented and said that. i want to purchase that.

yeah i dont understand why either. its 200 pin so it should work.

A. he didn't install it right or
2. he got bad ram or
$. for some reason it requires more power then regular ram, i'll check what voltage it is.

Thats it, voltage is too high. I believe the notebooks require 1.8v and that stuff is 2.5v.

no im pretty sure he just put it in wrong. ddr2 is 1.8 volts. ddr is 2.5v.
